Hello DYS Parents,
The Spring 2022 season is wrapping up in the next 2 weeks. Congratulations and THANK YOU to all the players, coaches, parents, volunteers for all their hard work and dedication!
Updates for DYS:
- Summer Soccer Camps Check out the DYS website in the next few weeks with more info… Did you know that one of the best camps in the area with elite coaching staff is hosted right here in Dedham??? See attached, and attached.
- DYS Scholarships- Congratulations to the 5 winners. Kynan Davey, Kate Dooley, Abby Finn, Julia Haelsen, Jamie McDonough. J.H. Rumpp award winner was Kynan Davey…..DYS gives out several scholarships of $500 to deserving students that have contributed to DYS over the years.
- May 7th- DYS night at the REVS- We had 545 people from DYS attend! What a great Event
Registration for FALL 2022 Season
- DYS tryouts were held in May for incoming grades 3 thru 8 for the Fall 2022 TRAVEL season and were very well attended. The players worked very hard! If you could NOT attend, you will still be able to play in the fall if registered by the deadline however, we have less data to properly place the player and will need to use the coaches’ evaluation only
- The number of teams and the size of teams are based on number of registered players and league rules. Teams may be combined at grade level when conditions require.
- Incoming Grades 3 thru 8, Please complete the registration/payment process for all those that pre-registered for tryouts on www.dedhamsoccer.com the Deadline is June 20th or sign up new
- Once Registration is closed, DYS will start building teams based on Tryouts/ Coaches Evaluations. Once that is completed, DYS will meet with the coaches to review/verify placements as a group.
- Once players are placed on teams, the coaching staff will be chosen. In the rare case there are conflicts with multiple coaches for the same team and it cannot be worked out, then a DYS committee will evaluate each candidate to find the most appropriate coaching staff
- Incoming Grades K thru 2nd, Registration is now open and the Deadline is August 1st. You will NOT be guaranteed a slot after that date (only at DYS discretion based on player count)
- **NOTE** Players may be moved between seasons as we need to make sure that there are balanced skill levels for each team. We want to make sure that all players are learning soccer AND having FUN. Unbalanced scores every week do not help anyone.
- Kickers (Pre-K) Registrations should be open in the next few days and will be limited to first come, for each time slot up to 24 players per session Deadline is August 1st.

June 12th Annual Picnic- Last games for Town Players and Pre-K Kickers (all travel families welcome as well)
- Free BBQ picnic with Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Slush, drinks, Music, Soccer Inflatable games, Vendor tables – Sign up for SUMMER SOCCER CAMP
- NE Revolution Group 10:30am to 12pm- get your picture with Slyde the Mascot
- Picture day- Get your professional soccer pictures taken
June 14th Flag Day Parade DYS will have a float (see attached)
August 22nd Golf Tournament- Fundraiser for Boys and Girls HS Soccer programs
