August 2022 Newsletter

Hello DYS Parents,

With only a week left until Fall soccer begins, the board has been busy finalizing teams, working on schedules, getting equipment delivered, putting up new nets, and many other tasks…  The best part starts when we get on the pitch (soccer term for “playing field”)…

A note about Fields:  In Dedham, there are limited open spaces to play (especially with lights during fall season) and DYS must share space with other sports, other DYS teams, etc.  DYS will have multiple teams practicing at the same time on various fields.  Please be courteous and know that the Dedham Parks and Rec Department is doing a great job and has been working hard to do their best to make our season a success.  Fields this season might not have ideal conditions due to the drought, so please be patient and let DYS know if you have any questions, concerns, etc…
