First Games

Hello DYS Parents,

It has been great seeing the soccer fields in Dedham start to have activity again!  As I say every season, Play Hard and Have Fun !!!

First Games are this coming weekend and our professional clinicians will be helping our coaches starting next week.  Coaches got their equipment at our beginning of season coaches meeting at the end of August and DYS has handed out brand new soccer balls to all incoming TRAVEL 3rd and 7th graders as they are moving up to a new size ball.

We are proud to announce our newest Sponsor: Play it Again Sports a locally owned store at the Dedham Plaza 606 Washington Street.  Please support them for soccer and any other sport your family might participate in.  DYS will be setting up an online store with them in the next few weeks.  More details to come !!!

Please THANK your coach when you see them for volunteering their time to coach your child.  If not for our AMAZING coaches, we would not have such a great program !!!

Town and Travel Referees: DYS supports you.  Have a great time !!!

REMINDER: A note about Fields this season:  In Dedham, there are limited open spaces to play (especially with lights during fall season) and DYS must share space with other sports, other DYS teams, etc.  DYS will have multiple teams practicing at the same time on various fields.  Please be courteous and know that the Dedham Parks and Rec Department is doing a great job and has been working hard to do their best to make our season a success.  Fields this season might not have ideal conditions due to the drought, so please be patient and let DYS know if you have any questions, concerns, etc… We appreciate the flexibility in last minute changes due to field usage, conditions, etc…

Do you have any positive suggestions, would you like to volunteer to help?  Just send me an email…

On behalf of the DYS Board…Thank you for all your support!!
