Hello DYS Community,
I hope everyone is having a great summer, so far.  The Spring 2024 season was a great success, and I cannot believe that we start Fall soccer in a few short weeks. 


Firstly, Congratulations to the 9th/10th grade Girls team for winning Mass. Tournament of Champions (MTOC)!!! 
 
As always, we had a great End of Season picnic for Town Soccer at Nobles and Greenough. While maybe a bit wetter than in past seasons, the players had a grand time playing in the rain and the hot, juicy burgers and hot dogs off the grill never tasted so good.

THANK YOU to all the players, coaches, parents, volunteers for all their hard work and dedication this past season. 

Read on for more, as we start the countdown to the Fall Season (46 days, 7hrs…)

Registration for FALL 2024 Season (K-8) (practices can start 8/26/24; Game 1 is 9/7/24); Closes Tonight!!!
TRAVEL (BAYS) Incoming Grades 3 thru 8- DYS tryouts were held in May for the Fall 2024 TRAVEL season and were very well attended.  The players worked very hard!  
If your player could NOT attend, you will still be able to play in the Fall if registered by the deadline, tonight, Wednesday July 10th (late fees start, tomorrow July 11th)!

  • The number of teams and the size of teams are based on number of registered players and league rules.
  • Teams may be combined at grade level when conditions require.
  • Once Registration closes, DYS started building teams based on Tryouts/ Coaches Evaluations and meet with the coaches to review/verify placements as a group.
  • Once players are placed on teams, the coaching staff will be chosen.  In the rare case there are conflicts with multiple coaches for the same team and it cannot be worked out, then a DYS committee will evaluate each candidate to find the most appropriate coaching staff or find alternate coaches
  • Coaches and teams should be notified by end of July

Travel Uniforms

Incoming Grades K thru 2nd (and some 3rd graders) Town: DYS has been posting on FB and an email blast went out recently that registration is open and the Deadline is tonight, Wednesday, July 10th.  After this date, you will be placed on a waitlist, a late fee will apply, and you are NOT guaranteed a slot (DYS will try to fit in as many players as we can based on player count)

  • **NOTE** Players may be moved between seasons as we need to make sure that there are balanced skill levels for each team.  We want to make sure that all players are learning soccer AND having FUN.  Unbalanced scores every week do not help anyone.
  • All registered players will receive a soccer jersey from their coach prior to the first game of the season or at the first game

Kickers (Pre-K) 

  • Registrations will open on August 1st (@12:01am!) and will be limited to first come, for each time slot (9a, 10a, and 11a)
  • Sessions close once they reach 25 players 
  • All newly registered players will receive a soccer ball and jersey on the first day of sessions.

MANDATORY COACHES MEETING – please reach out if you cannot attend

  • Date: August 25, 2024
  • Location: Condon Park (parking is still tight!)
  • Times:
    • 4:30-5- Town Referees; must come with one parent
    • 5:30-6:15- Town Coaches
    • 6:45-7:15- Travel Coaches

Speaking of DHS,  DYS is looking for incoming varsity players that would like to be Volunteer Assistant Coaches for travel teams this fall.  Please email me directly with interest.  This past season we had great success as both the players and coaches benefited!
