Dedham Youth Soccer Travel Program (Grades 3–12)

The Dedham Youth Soccer Travel Program offers players in grades 3 through 8 the opportunity to compete against teams from other towns in the area. This program focuses on advancing players’ skills, teamwork, and understanding of the game through a higher level of competition. Teams are formed based on evaluations to ensure appropriate placement, and games are played within the BAYS (Boston Area Youth Soccer) league. It’s a great way for players to challenge themselves, grow their love for soccer, and represent Dedham with pride!

Travel Soccer Team Formation

Travel soccer teams are formed through a combination of coach evaluations and independent clinician tryouts. Coaches provide valuable insights into each player’s skills and development throughout the season, and these evaluations are used to ensure teams are balanced and competitive. In addition, independent clinician tryouts give all players the chance to showcase their abilities in a fair and objective setting. This process helps us create well-matched teams that encourage growth, skill development, and a positive soccer experience for every player.

Spring Team Adjustments 🌱

In the Spring season, team changes may occur due to new registrants joining the program. The Travel Directors and coaches work closely together to evaluate player movement, ensuring teams remain competitive. Changes are made based on Fall coach evaluations and Fall clinician tryouts, allowing for the best possible team fit and continued development. This process helps provide all players with the right opportunities to grow, challenge themselves, and enjoy the game!
