Our volunteer travel coaches play a vital role in shaping the experience of our players. These dedicated individuals give their time and energy to help players develop their skills, teamwork, and love for the game. With a passion for soccer and a commitment to fostering a positive, supportive environment, our volunteer coaches are essential to the success of the travel program. We truly appreciate their efforts and the impact they make on our young athletes!
Training for Travel Coaches
All of our travel coaches are required to complete essential training to ensure they provide the best experience for our players. This includes Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) training, which focuses on creating a supportive and motivating environment for athletes, and SafeSport training, which helps coaches understand how to maintain a safe and respectful space for all participants. These trainings are vital in ensuring that our coaches are well-prepared to guide players not only in developing soccer skills but also in fostering character, sportsmanship, and safety on and off the field.
BAYS Coaches Conduct Policy
All of our travel coaches are bound by the BAYS Coaches Conduct Policy, which sets clear expectations for behavior, professionalism, and sportsmanship. This policy ensures that coaches maintain a positive, respectful, and safe environment for players, parents, and fellow coaches. By adhering to this policy, coaches are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that prioritizes player development, fair play, and the overall well-being of every participant.
BAYS Zero Tolerance Policy & Respect Campaign
Our travel coaches are committed to upholding the BAYS Zero Tolerance Policy and actively supporting the Respect Campaign. This means they are dedicated to maintaining a positive, respectful environment for all players, coaches, and families. The Zero Tolerance Policy ensures that any form of misconduct—whether verbal, physical, or emotional—is not tolerated, while the Respect Campaign promotes good sportsmanship, inclusivity, and respect both on and off the field. By adhering to these standards, our coaches play a crucial role in fostering a safe, enjoyable, and fair soccer experience for everyone involved.
Coach Credentials & BAYS-Accredited Rosters
All coaches are required to wear their appropriate credentials during games to ensure they are easily identifiable and meet the necessary standards for coaching in our travel program. Additionally, coaches must have two copies of the BAYS-accredited rosters on hand for each game, as mandated by the Boston Area Youth Soccer (BAYS) league. This ensures that the team’s lineup is properly documented and available for review, maintaining transparency and compliance with league regulations. These requirements help us uphold the integrity of the game and ensure a smooth and organized experience for all participants.
